ABOUT US
Dance Works is a family owned and operated business that is committed to providing an economical, family friendly dance experience. We opened in February of 2001 with 50 students and have now grown to 300 students. We cater to beginner thru advanced, tots thru adult, and recreational thru competitive. In 2002, we built a 3,600 square foot facility on Central Park. In 2013, we outgrew our Central Park space and built a 7,200 square foot facility just around the corner, at 2705 Hickory Grove Road. We have 4 large dance rooms with marley sprung dance floors, a large lobby, dance shoe store, and a homework & dinner space for our students. Our staff is highly trained and always excited to help your child achieve their goals. Our 3 year old classes are limited to 12 students with 1 lead teacher & 3 classroom assistants. Four year old classes are limited to 14 students with 1 lead teacher & 3 classroom assistants. Our dance combo classes & pom/hip hop classes, ages 5 & above, are limited to 14 students with 1 lead teacher & 2-3 classroom assistants. Dance combo classes perform in our informal holiday show and both dance combo & pom/hip hop classes perform in our annual formal June recital. Our many other adult staff all have 10+ years of teaching experience, many also work in schools as teachers or teachers assistants by day.
We also have older high school aged staff who have spent 4+ years training in our assistant program and have a desire to pursue college dance and/or college degrees that involve early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, pediatric OT or PT. They are gaining experience as lead teachers in our classrooms under supervision and direction of our owner/director and other staff.
